Shrungagiri Sri Shanmukha temple is located in Rajarajeshwari Nagar town of bangalore district. The temple is situated at a height of about 250 feet from the ground level. About 1,30,000 sq.feet of land was given to Sringeri Mutt for the construction of this temple.
Sringeri Sri Bharati Theertha Swamiji has said, that Lord Murugan has appeared in his dream and told to construct a Sri Murugan temple at this place and told Dr.R.Arunachalam sir should build this temple and further the Swamiji has blessed him and said, this temple will become famous in the state of Karnataka in future.
