Eventsflare ("Eventsflare", "we", "us") is an online ticketing and event discovery portal for events such as conferences, concerts, nightlife, parties, festivals, fundraisers, exhibitions, activities, artist listings and trade fairs ("Events", "Services"). We connect event organizers, artists and venues ("Organizers") with the people who attend ("Users", "you"). We respect your privacy and recognise the need to protect the personal data you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and how you can control it. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
Data you give us
Details you type but do not submit
If you start entering your name, email address or mobile number in a booking, "I am interested" or enquiry form and leave before submitting it, we may store what you typed so that we can help you finish that booking or answer that enquiry. We do not use these details for marketing unless you also opt in to marketing messages (see section 4). You can ask us to delete them at any time (see section 9).
Data collected automatically
We record the internet address of the domains people visit us from, your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you view, the city you choose and how you use the site. We use this to run and secure the service, count visits and do internal research on our users' demographics, interests and behaviour so we can understand, protect and serve you better. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar tools (see section 5).
Data from others
Payment gateways tell us whether a payment succeeded. We do not receive or store your card number, UPI PIN or net banking password.
If you choose not to provide the information we request, you can still browse the website, but you may not be able to book tickets or use certain features, offers and services.
We use your data for these purposes because you have given consent, because you asked us for a service, or because the law allows or requires it (for example, keeping tax records).
Eventsflare does not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed:
If Eventsflare is ever involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of its business, your data may be transferred as part of it, and we will tell you if the way your data is handled changes.
We send you event updates, reminders, offers and newsletters by email, SMS or WhatsApp only if you have agreed to receive them. Where we ask, the consent box is never ticked for you, and you can use the site and book tickets without ticking it.
When you agree, we record the date, the form you used and the city or event you were interested in. We use this to send you relevant updates, for example events in your city or new listings from a venue you follow. You can withdraw consent at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply STOP to a WhatsApp or SMS message, or write to us at the address in section 10. Withdrawing consent does not affect messages we sent earlier. We will still send messages that are necessary for a booking you made, such as your ticket, payment confirmation and changes to the event.
Cookies are identifiers that a website can send to your browser to store on your device so that it remembers you on your next visit. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to:
You can control cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage advertising preferences in your Google Ad Settings and your Meta ad preferences. If you block cookies, some parts of the site, such as checkout, may not work properly. When you submit a sign-up form, we may tell Google and Meta that a sign-up happened so we can measure our advertising, but we do not send them the email address or mobile number you typed into our forms.
Your data is stored on servers and services operated by us and our providers. Some providers, such as Google, Meta and Cloudinary, may process data on servers outside India. We use such providers only where they give appropriate protection for your data.
When we no longer need data, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
Eventsflare takes appropriate steps to protect the information you share with us. We have implemented technology and security features and strict policy guidelines to safeguard the privacy of your personally identifiable information from unauthorized access and improper use or disclosure. We will continue to enhance our security procedures as new technology becomes available. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, email us from the address you used with us, or tell us the email or mobile number to look up, and say what you want us to do. We may ask for proof that the data is yours before we act. Some records, such as payment records, must be kept by law even if you ask us to delete them.
Our Services are meant for people aged 18 and over. Many events are age restricted. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
