The Big Howl, Bengaluru

The Big Howl is a series of one-night dance parties in Bengaluru. One night, one room, the whole pack — no stage, no spectators. A Howl is one night where a house workshop, a Latin social, live performance and a late retro floor collide in a single room. There is no stage and there is no audience: the venue becomes the canvas, the artists move through the crowd, and the crowd stops being a crowd. The stage is dead; participation is alive. You don't watch a Howl — you're in it. Every edition takes over a different room and lets that room lead — galleries, breweries, courtyards, wherever the night wants to live. Each one is built once, for one room, and never repeated. Artists don't perform at a Howl; they build it. When the room is right and the collaborators are set, the whole thing is designed around that single space for that single night, and then it's gone. The night runs from a workshop that starts at complete zero to a floor that stays open-level until it closes. Nobody brings a partner — the workshop rotates partners, the social floor mixes all night, and half the room arrives solo. First-timers arrive as strangers and leave as regulars. Come alone or bring your people; you'll dance either way. This is Latin dance the way it's meant to be lived — salsa, bachata, kizomba and house, threaded through live performance and an old-school retro floor to close.
